1. What This Credential Verifies (Training and Exam Details)
The abbreviation CCDF stands for Certified Christian DISC® Facilitator. This credential verifies that an individual has completed Christian DISC®’s certification process and has demonstrated a baseline level of competency to facilitate the Christian DISC® assessment within a biblical framework.
Specifically, the CCDF credential verifies:
- Training: Completion of a minimum of three (3) hours of specialized training focused on biblical personality theory, assessment interpretation, and facilitation best practices.
- Exam: A passing score on the Christian DISC® Certification Exam, which tests understanding of the Christian DISC® model, report interpretation, and appropriate application in ministry and professional settings.
2. Authorized Scope of Use (How You Can Use the Materials)
A CCDF holder is granted permission to use Christian DISC® certification materials and tools as part of their work or ministry, within the boundaries described below. This includes (as applicable) using Christian DISC® to help individuals and groups grow in self-awareness, strengthen communication, and support healthier relationships through biblically aligned insights.
Authorized uses for a CCDF include:
- Facilitating and interpreting assessments for individuals and teams using official Christian DISC® reports and tools.
- Conducting debrief sessions for individuals or couples (in person or virtually).
- Leading workshops/trainings for churches, ministries, schools, nonprofits, and teams using Christian DISC® materials.
- Using the CCDF designation in a resume, bio, website, and other marketing materials to truthfully describe certification status.
This credential does not transfer ownership of any Christian DISC® materials. It provides a limited right to use the materials as intended, consistent with any accompanying terms, brand guidelines, and purchasing/licensing restrictions.
3. Important Legal Distinctions (Scope of Practice, Training Limitations, and Trademark/Copyright Notice)
The CCDF credential is a tool-specific certification, not a professional license, degree, or government-issued credential.
- Scope of Practice Disclaimer: CCDF holders must operate within the legal and ethical scope of their existing role and jurisdiction. Nothing about this credential authorizes a person to provide services they are not otherwise qualified or legally permitted to provide (for example, licensed mental health counseling, diagnosis, treatment of mental health disorders, or medical advice).
- Training Limitations: Certification verifies completion of the training and passing the exam described above. It does not guarantee outcomes for clients/participants and does not replace clinical supervision, pastoral oversight, or professional training required in a facilitator’s primary field.
- Independence / No Agency: Certification does not create an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between the facilitator and Christian DISC® or Arizona Christian Counseling LLC. Facilitators serve independently and are responsible for their own services, communications, fees, and compliance obligations. Facilitators are not agents or representatives of Arizona Christian Counseling LLC and have no authority to bind Arizona Christian Counseling LLC to any contract, obligation, warranty, representation, or promise.
- Trademark/Copyright Notice: Christian DISC® is a registered trademark of Arizona Christian Counseling LLC. All assessment tools, reports, training manuals, frameworks, and digital resources remain the intellectual property of Arizona Christian Counseling LLC and/or its licensors. CCDF holders receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use approved Christian DISC® materials and to reference the CCDF designation, provided they do not:
- alter, reverse engineer, or create derivative versions of the assessment or reports;
- white-label or remove branding from reports/materials;
- sell, sublicense, or distribute materials except as expressly permitted by Christian DISC®’s terms; or
- claim ownership of the Christian DISC® model, brand, or underlying materials.
4. Ethics and Conduct
A Certified Christian DISC® Facilitator is expected to maintain high ethical standards, ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of all assessment respondents. The results of the Christian DISC® assessment should always be presented with pastoral sensitivity and in a manner consistent with ecumenical Christian values. Christian DISC® reserves the right, at the sole discretion of Arizona Christian Counseling LLC, to revoke the CCDF designation if a facilitator is found to be using the materials in a manner that is deceptive, unethical, or damaging to the Christian DISC® brand.
